Nasdaq Listing & Growing Our Global Footprint

In 2022, we took our purpose of simplifying people’s lives beyond Brazilian borders. In June, we migrated our shareholder base to Nasdaq, showcasing our product, our strong balance sheet, and the strength of our team to the international investment community. That same year, we launched the Global Account, enabling our customers to make dollar remittances with just a few clicks, making Inter truly borderless. Start and expansion of the digital banking disruption
2015-2019

Start and expansion of the digital banking disruption

In 2015, we launched Brazil’s first 100% digital checking account, completely free of fees. The success was immediate: by 2016, we reached 80,000 digital customers and expanded our ecosystem with foreign exchange operations, the introduction of Mastercard cards (credit & debit), and our mobile app launch. In 2017, we rebranded from Intermedium to Banco Inter, reflecting the modernization and evolution of the company, and closed the year with over 370,000 digital customers. In 2018, we became the first digital bank to conclude an IPO on B3 and the first bank in Latin America to operate entirely on the cloud, through AWS. With capital in hand, 2019 was the year of consolidation: a follow-on offering of R$ 1.2 billion funded the expansion of our Super App, a one-stop shop for financial and non-financial products, surpassing 4 million account holders across 99% of the national territory, and launching Inter Shop.

Foundational years, regional reach
1994 - 2014

Foundational years, regional reach

Inter’s story begins in 1994, in Belo Horizonte (MG), with the founding of Intermedium Financeira. Over the following years, we gradually expanded our operations: business credit (1999), payroll-deductible credit (2001), and mortgage lending (2007), until the major milestone of 2008 — the multiple bank license granted by the Brazilian Central Bank. From there, we built a more complete financial ecosystem with the creation of Inter Seguros (2012) and Inter DTVM (2013), authorized by the Central Bank and accredited by the CVM.
